Reiki in Derry

Reiki is a gentle yet profound technique for stress reduction that works to bring the body back into balance, positively affecting the body-mind-spirit as a whole by assisting healing on all levels. The technique was rediscovered in Japan in 1922 by Dr. Mikao Usui and brought to the United States in the 1930s.
Universal Life Force Energy (Japanese translation of Rei-ki) flows within and around us, and nourishes the organs and cells of our body, supporting them in their vital functions. This form of energy healing helps remove energetic blockages, restore balance, and promote healing on all levels: body, mind and spirit.
At Triskelia Wellness, we offer this type of energy healing either as a stand-alone service, or as part of your overall care plan.

What to Expect
During a session, the client remains fully clothed, resting peacefully on a massage table. The practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the client’s body, including areas around the head, shoulders, stomach, legs, and feet.
This energy healing technique treats the whole body-mind-spirit, creating many beneficial effects, including feelings of relaxation, security and well-being—in fact, many patients fall asleep during a session! A typical session lasts an hour, where your therapist will also work with crystals to align chakras and heal auras. Sessions with our practitioner Jayne Julien, LMT can produce powerful results when combined with other techniques, such as chiropractic and massage.
Offered at Many Hospitals
A study done in 2007 by the National Health Interview Survey indicates that 1.2 million adults and 161,000 children received one or more sessions of energy healing therapy, such as Reiki, in the previous year. According to the American Hospital Association, in 2007, 15% or over 800 American hospitals offered Reiki as part of hospital services.
